i shot this while taking out the trash yesterday.
there won't be many more opportunities for such moments.
seems to have been snowing in the mountains pretty constantly for the last week or so.
we're hunkering down over here.
been making a heartier effort at cheerfulness
(the fact that i use that word despite my dislike for it is proof of my progress).
attempting to keep my spirits up despite the earlier sunsets,
and grumpy, time-confused children.
a friend of mine says that the mother/wife is the one who controls the mood or tone of the home.
this has proven to be true for me.
not only does my mood affect the mood of others,
but my attitude can also affect my own experience.
every day presents opportunities to exercise the ability to choose how to react in different situations.
and no one loses when mom chooses to be happy.
it's a powerful thing knowing the impact i can have,
and ofttimes a harrowing one.
